Having been a fan of The Osees since 2015, I initially reached out to the band via email to ask if they would be interested in me designing a poster for their upcoming Australian tour. After reviewing my previous work, they agreed, giving me the opportunity to create an official limited-edition tour poster for their merchandise line. On their return to Australia, the band contacted me once again to design a second poster for their next tour, again granting me complete creative freedom.

For the first poster, I developed five concept sketches for the band to choose from before refining the selected direction into a final illustration and exploring three different colourways. I also sourced and liaised with a specialist screen printer to achieve the intricate details and layered inks required for the final print.

For the second poster, I wanted to reflect how the band’s sound had evolved since their previous Australian tour. Their music is loud, ominous and almost mystical, with lyrics exploring destruction, transformation and the unknown. Drawing on these themes, I created a towering figure emerging from the darkness, conveying a sense of mystery, power and unease that mirrors the band’s evolving sound.
