Feral Brewing originally approached me to illustrate and design a tap head decal for a short-term promotional release. Following the positive reception of the design, I was commissioned to extend the artwork onto a limited run of cans, allowing the campaign to reach a wider audience and have a longer-lasting presence.

The original brief was to create an imposing figure that reflected the name “Nectar of the Gods.” My initial concept was to take the theme literally by illustrating a god-like being. However, after a series of sketches and concept explorations, I shifted towards a more kaiju-inspired character. By depicting the creature leaning forward and almost breaking out of the frame, I was able to create a sense of scale, power, and movement that related better to a god like being instead of being too literal.
